30 Causes, Week 10: Alex’s Lemonade Stand

This week’s winner of ’30 Causes’ is awarded to Alex’s Lemonade Stand. This great organization was started by an ambitious young girl by the name of Alexandra “Alex” Scott when she was only four years old. Her mission was to raise money and awareness for the same pediatric cancer that she was stricken with. Unfortunately, Alex passed away in 2004 at the tender age of eight years old, but her legacy and the organization she founded continue to fight against this horrible disease and has raised over $100 million to date through annual events across the country.
