30 Causes, Week 11: Fisher House Boston

Our week 11 winner of ’30 Causes’ is awarded to Fisher House Boston! Fisher House Boston is an extension of the Fisher House Foundation, established by philanthropist and businessman Zachary Fisher and his wife Elizabeth in 1990. The Fisher House Foundation provides military veterans and their families living accommodations at no cost whatsoever while a loved one is receiving medical treatment. With homes located in close proximity to military and VA medical centers nationwide, the foundation has saved veterans and their families an estimated $200 million in transportation and housing services since its inception. Fisher House Boston was the 46th house out of 65 total to be dedicated to veterans and their families.
