30 Causes, Week 22: Alzheimer’s Association

Congratulations to this week’s ’30 Causes’ winner, the Alzheimer’s Association. The association began their fight against Alzheimer’s and dementia-related diseases in 1980, and continues to be the leading organization dedicated to providing research and services for those in need. With an estimated 5 million people in the US alone living with some form of dementia, the group provides an array of resources, both online and in-person, that include a 24/7 Helpline, direct access to dedicated healthcare professionals, and their popular Walk to End Alzheimer’s fundraiser. With so many individuals affected, the need for a cure has never been greater.
