TransMedics revolutionizes transplant processes.

TransMedics works on streamlining organ transportation and doubling the inventory of available organs for transplant.
Since 1986, one company, United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS), has been alone in its work managing the network and coordinating member transplant and procurement organizations. Both UNOS and the Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network (OPTN) have come under fire from the Senate Finance Committee because of “failures” in the organ transplant system that led to deaths. An OPTN Modernization Initiative would “strengthen accountability, equity and performance” of the nearly 400-member network, which currently has more than 104,000 adults and children on its organ waitlist.
  Enter TransMedics.
TransMedics’ heart transport system uses warm perfusion and monitoring technologies to maintain normal function in organs retrieved from donors after brain death, with studies showing the system can preserve a heart longer than typical cold storage methods. The FDA’s premarket approval for TransMedics technology covers hearts retrieved from donors after brain death, including those surgically clamped or cut off from the body’s blood flow for more than four hours. TransMedics’ Organ Care System, or OCS, keeps donor organs metabolically active using warm perfusion technology and integrated monitoring tools. Compared to typical cold storage methods, the system can prolong the life of organs that may have otherwise been deemed unusable.
When your product, as exciting as it is, appears to be a simple box with a window, telling the story is compelling—and that story is the journey of the organ from the donor to the surgeon who will perform the transplant. TransMedics technology generates data on the organ’s viability throughout transport so surgeons can do optimal scheduling.
transmedics sphere focal point
The focal point of the 20 x 30 exhibit is a red LED sphere that displays content about the process.
transmedics inner exhibit
Attendees enter the exhibit for a deeper dive into the transplant process and to learn more about the company on OLED panels. Attendees can input information on the screen, a signal to the TransMedics team member to approach.
transmedics riboon
The ribbon encircling the space mimics the path of the organ, and the ribbon turns into an LED screen in the rear of the exhibit.

I’d like to communicate to you and your team our overwhelming satisfaction and sincere appreciation for the work done in building, preparing, and managing our booth… The attention to every detail has been spot on.

TransMedics is establishing a new standard of care for organ transplantation

Organ transplants are notoriously finicky procedures with limited timespans of viability. TransMedics is an industry-revolutionizing and lifesaving product that has opened the window for a little wider for hearing, liver, and lung transplants.
